You get up early to spend time with Jesus or read the Bible app while you're feeding your little ones.

You stay up late picking up toys, folding clothes, and planning birthday parties.

You realize you need to grab sleep when you can get it because you never know who will need you at 2:00 am.

A half of a PB&J, 2 slices of tangerine, and a 1/2 glass of milk is a typical lunch for you that you eat while carrying the dishes to the sink. 

Your first name isn't really "Mama," but you see it as a gift to be called that name.

You are uniquely you and God chose YOU to mother these kiddos... just you.

I don't live in your house, but I have worn your shoes... and they are CUTE!

This website and the Train Your Child blog are for you. I don't write because I have nothing else to do... meal prep is endless.

I write because Jesus loves you and wants you to have EVERY resource available to you on your mothering journey. I'm just a couple of steps ahead (or walking next to you) and can show you what's worked for me.

Right now, most of the tools you'll find on my Resources page are for mamas of young children because I was one. I'm not an expert in many things, but all of my kids soaked up these resources and are using the principles and training to share their faith, so, I say... use it! If it works, use it, share it, and adapt it!

Empowering

Training my own children inspires me to EMPOWER other mamas to intentionally train their children to follow Jesus and become like Him. I love encouraging parents through my Train Your Child blog, curriculum, devotionals, speaking opportunities, one-on-one encouragement, and prayer.

Intentionally spiritually training my own children is one of the greatest honors God has given me. I've been doing youth ministry for over 25 years, training and empowering others through Children's Ministry, and empowering other leaders. 

I'll pass along whatever I've learned to you. You can pass along whatever you've learned to me and the others who engage on the site. Teaming up to empower each other will expand our effectiveness as our children's trainers!
 

Writing

This year (2024), my book "4 Keys to Keeping Your Children Engaged in Chruch" will be published through Acoma Press.

I wrote a book with Dr. Scott Turansky with the National Center for Biblical Parenting on parenting children through big emotions! It's release is pending.

I have been published in Focus on the Family and Guide magazines and a few other online spots. I've been writing so long I can see faces as I write curriculum and blogs! I hope what you read encourages and empowers you!
